3D?

Was the space battle in 3D or did you some how manage to pull that off in flash? If you did then you are some sort of god or mutant. That was really spectacular. The fighting with the lightsabers wasn't anything breathtaking, but it was still good. The spacefight scene was the strongest part though. Big fan of that.

Good job, a bit short though. Still loved it.

DutchinLive responds:

I am neither a god nor a mutant, just a humble guy who knows the ways of creating 3d in flash using a little program called Swift 3d!

Better

The entire thing was more balanced, all of it was about the same consistency, smoothness wise. I struggle to do that. It was a huge improvement over Dawn because of that. This was more action packed and the art and objects were of better quality. Its hard to praise something other then just saying it was good.

Like last time the only thing I can nitpick is the bullet casings. But that doesn't change the fact that the entire goddamn thing was great. Keep this up and good luck this year champ.

LittleLuckyLink responds:

Yeah, bullet casings aren't my favorite thing.

Probably your best movie

This was probably your best movie, since collab parts are a lot easier to make. I enjoyed it, only one problem. You put outlines on muzzle flash. It looked silly.

Judging by that being my only complaint, I think you did a good job.

GabrielBarsch responds:

yeah, i think it too, my best movie of 2009, next year will be more

Arguably the best adaptation of a song.

This is one of, if not the best, animations to accompany a song. Sure there are animations that illustrate the song word for word making it a visual interpretation of the song's lyrics. This is the better, more amazing music video where an animation interprets a theme or a possible meaning to the song without copying the song word for word. The theme of a man who escapes death by intervention only to be killed by the man who intervened is a classic story of evil. The way you interpret it into an animation with a wordless story about a gang is beyond genius. I automatically knew what was going on without anyone saying a thing. The animation was rough and simplistic, but it works better than a realistic, Adam Phillips-type flash.

This is the kind of thing that should be shown in schools, theres definatly a lesson to be learned. The only thing that is out of place is the clocks, they are pretty much a cameo in a more brilliant plotline. It is a little too dynamic for a clock day submission, its more of a independent flash with clocks thrown in for laughs or something. I would love to see more things like this, or even this without clock heads, that way it would be easier to explain when I go around preaching the beauty of this work of art.

Munglai responds:

Thank you. It's nice to hear such genuine praise.

L4D2 Boycott +3 points

The animation was pretty smooth, it was a little more realistic then the game turns out to be, I liked the first person view, not a lot of flashes dare to try it.

As for the boycott, I preordered L4D1 and thought it was okay, its something fun to play when you are tired of playing against smart AI or just want to go on a mass killing spree. I liked the contrasting characters and all. The fact that they want to make a new L4D instead of upgrading the old one seems to suggest L4D is not being made by the same VALVe that makes the other games. The part L4D1 scared me with was its endorsment by EA, which has a resounding record of sequeling over errors instead of patching a game. That could be why VALVe is doing this, I agree with the boycott, I want more in L4D before I'll cough up more then 20 dollars for a new L4D when the first one is still lacking.

I hope they get their shit together before they do this, sadly no matter what, dumbasses will still buy L4D2 and it will probably be a good game, but it just screws the players of the original or those who are major players in third party development. I have yet to play Killing Floor but from what I hear it is basically an FU to VALVe's decisions on L4D, third party made its own game since VALVe fell through with the DLC and the advanced SDK.

I hope you boycott guys succeed, I joined the boycott for a while but I kept getting my games minimized by constant events, I support though, good luck.

StealthBeast responds:

20 dollars? I'll buy it for 20. It's most likely going to be 50.

The first person scenes aren't nearly as hard as you'd think they are. A bit time consume, but easy nonetheless. Glad you liked it.

Nothing new

Don't get me wrong, I am sad for his death but almost every tribute to him is just a slideshow of pictures. Animate something or anything.

RIP

Frenzy responds:

Okay, thanks!

Grand as always, getting more edgy

Which is great, I loved your SFC part, the mild profanity in this series coupled with the censorship of some words makes it seem like an old 80's movie before the FCC had decided which words were bad.

My only suggestion is, please mark some how who does who's voices in the credits or something so I can figure out and put faces to minions.

And was the guy who got doom lazored an omage to the Spy in TF2? Same hat, same nationality, same cigarette, same calm nature.

The-Swain responds:

I think that me and the TF2 guys just recognize a French stereotype when we see one ;)

Not bad

Although the intro newgroundsy thing was good, it didn't blend well with the flash and took away from the flash, that probably contributed to the low views of a good flash.

The flash was solid, some of the text went by so fast you had to race to read it all.

Would have been 50% more effective if after hitting play it just cut to the flash, but the intro would be great for something crazy like a longass movie.

Good work.

Horsenwelles responds:

i thought the intro vs. the actual flash would be a funny irony :3

And he would have gotten away with it if it wasn't

for that meddling canadian.

Surprisingly good for a collab about a "sad" news story, but then again made by some crack animators. Good work boys, needed cocks though.

14hourlunchbreak responds:

lol, yeah. I'm glad you liked it.

I don't understand your aggression towards

Other people's cultures.

Great flash grasshopper.

LeafLock responds:

viva la resistance!

It's been a long time.
