Great idea

Would love to see the idea explored further, I understand time constraints and all that but hope to see some more. Main problem, scrap the beginning, no need for voices in madness and I understood the premise from the title. Didn't need a voice and text to tell me what was going on. Expand on this, I'd love to see more.

Deathisawesome responds:

Understand what you mean, and I will probably do that way if I do an "Achivement Madness 2" :)

Nostalgic

I liked all the references, I never played the second game but I enjoyed all the little quirks like the shyguy tripping and the hammer's charge up. Gonna have to play through the original now. Definately amusing and clever. If you wanted the big money I think you know what has to be made.

Alpha-Nuva responds:

i never played the second game either. lol

Big improvement

You did a lot better this time around. There was some fluid movements, it got better as it got closer to the end. There were still some flaws that are common with madness tributes.

Your primary issue is you need more movement, especially at the beginning, the protagonist would stand around and kill everyone then hop around to move. Some easy ways to add more depth in movement is tween the body piece and animate the stuff with the body tweened, then after, animate the feet frame by frame. It makes the movement smooth and even if you aren't good at the feet animations, the smooth tweens make the feet less noticable. If you can get some guides on your tweens you can make a very realistic movement. If you think you can do it without tweening you can make more complex movements, but unless you are really patient and constantly scrub the scene, you can easily make movements too rapid or choppy. I don't know, play around with it.

One other thing is, since you are new to flash, you undoubtly get better as you animate, which normally makes the beginning of a flash lower quality than the end, so it is sometimes useful if using scenes to animate the first scene later on to get a more impressive start enticing people to watch the whole movie.

Good job.

Crazymonkey154 responds:

Thanks. I do admit that the beginning was a little off compared to the rest, but I really gave this my all. The walking in the beginning wasn't all that good either. And I do just about everything frame-by-frame except for the V-CAM.

Oh dear God

That was beautiful. I have watched this before and I apparently didn't get it because that was amazing. I didn't see it as political at all, but I did enjoy the personification of pigs into humans and the joke replacing drugs with coins and needles or whatever with piggy banks.

The animation was nice, the crude, jagged lines made it a lot more unique and helped bring out the special story instead of it just being a good idea hidden with the usual tweened up, smoothed graphics.

I would love to see more work similar to this.

SpamClamberton responds:

Well the best I have to offer is.. uh... my other stuff. I'm not sure which things I've done are most like this, so you'll just have to watch all of them. Multiple times. And click on any ads on the page.

Other than being hilarious

I liked the art, I am blown away/confused about how the clouds of Aries spin like that, they look vector but the way they morph they look 3D.

We need more John on this site. That echo makes anything funny, I wonder if you could replace dick jokes with echo stuff.

Good job.

How did you do the cloud thing?

JohnnyUtah responds:

the actual art is just a circular cloud ring that's animated in a rotating loop and then squashed...then I duplicated and layered it a bunch of times.

god bless you flash and your silly tricks.

I liked a lot of the animations

Many of the parts were funny, the kid crying was always good, some of the tree things were funny. There were few that lacked any appeal after the second or third time, like the hangover part, some more animation or visuals would have been nice. I really liked this, some of the head turns were very fluid for being sprited.

I think you got a lot of potential, I liked the madness fitting into something other than violence, but I want to see an all out madness movie from you.

Crazymonkey154 responds:

Glad you liked this =D. Yeah I'm really proud of those parts with the whiny little kid. And I like being able to make madness with or without violence- gives me more choices for content.

But I think I know what you mean- I admit I was probably repetitive, to some degree, with multiple (but not all) things in this. And I'm sure my next madness thing released will give you that "all out madness movie" from me that you say you'd like to see.

Pills joke

Really needed a pills joke. Other then that, pretty orgasmic. I liked the multiple redrawn faces, added a great touch.

Valve should have kept this gang in for L4D2, the only awesome one now is Coach who is basically Tyler Perry without the ointment or the lawsuits.

Now you need to make one with a boomer and a smoker.

Sh0T-D0wN responds:

They should at least be unlockable or something.

Lol ;).

I am proud to say that I only recognized

about half of the memes in this movie. That realization alone is worth a 10. You could have stopped there.

The animationism was pretty badass, fluid and all that, I can basically copy and paste the animation parts of the ten reviews I wrote today, but you, LLL, and Proxide have had the smoothest so far. I hope you finish this, or redness, or what ever I don't care as long as it is good. Speaking of good how is the Po3 coming along? All this success of people around my age makes me want to do something with my life. I guess killing rats in Fallout 3 will suffice for now.

Really good stuff, I got off topic up there. Can't wait for Redness and such.

Alpha-Nuva responds:

never played fallout. see how unfair the world is?

Good thing that isn't Hank

Because I would have a hard time deciding who would win in a fight, 47 or Hank.

Preloader guy can lose, I don't care for him, he hasn't been revived 8 times.

Slick animation, I liked the camera movements and angles. The only complaint is it was quite short. Other then that good work.

LYRONMARTIS responds:

I have NO idea who that preloader guy is !

Don't use stupid icons.

The animation was pretty smooth, I liked the wacky, sporadic flips between rooms but you broke 3 basic rules.

-Must have sounds, gunshots, screams, anything
-You put a stupid icon for the flash, let alone a stolen image.
-Put bullet casings, not as important as the other rules but still it makes a point.

Also, you should have fixed some of the masking issues, I understand being rushed but don't submit something that is full of problems.

Oh, and don't type like a 4 year old in your comments. Your basic problem is you did a good job animating, but you acted like a child with everything else. Add a few sounds and bullet casings, use logical icons, and don't talk like you lost a fight with a nail gun and you might be worth a few 5's.

LNR123 responds:

The Sweenytodd picture i got permission for. i do have friends in hollywood you know. well 2 but they said FINE wateva, if its on google do we care

I dont give a fuk realy if i act like A 4 year old in my writing???? What are you the writing inspector. Thanks for the crytiosim but seriusly some of that is saying i SHOULD CHANGE.

It's been a long time.
